The Life of David

The life of David appeals to all of us because we can easily identify with his struggles. Each of us has had to face giants, jealous friends, and unexpected temptations. David had public success and personal failures. He knew both encouragement and depression, victory and defeat. He was a warrior, a worshiper, a father, a friend, a sinner, and a king. What was it that made David great? Through it all, both in success and sin, he cultivated a heart for God.
