Jared Sutton loves to teach the Bible and has a passion for building relationships with students to lead them to know and follow Jesus. He, and his wife, Stephanie, are both experienced and effective in building ministry teams and equipping others for ministry to students. Jared began serving as our new Pastor of Student Ministries on October 28, 2024.

He previously served in student ministry for 8 years as the Area Director for YoungLife in Southlake, TX, leading weekly youth club for 60+ members, building relationships with students, sharing the Gospel with them, and teaching Bible studies (Campaigners) for growing disciples of Jesus. He’s organized retreats and trips, managed budgets and resources, and facilitated volunteer training for effective teams. Prior to working with YoungLife, Jared taught middle school and high school students in Carrol ISD for 7 years. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated an ability to lead, teach, and inspire students in their relationship with Jesus and others.

Jared and Stephanie have been married for over 20 years and have two sons, Elijah and Isaiah. Jared grew up in a loving home with parents who are believers in Jesus and his grandfather was a Southern Baptist pastor. He trusted Jesus as his Savior at an early age and really began to grow spiritually during college at the University of North Texas while attending Denton Bible Church. 

Jared holds a Bachelor of Arts in U.S. history & political science and a Master of Arts in history from UNT. He is a current Dallas Theological Seminary student pursing a Masters Degree in apologetics & evangelism. He is eager to bring his passion for students, experience in student ministry, and expertise in creating engaging, meaningful, and inclusive relationships to the PBC family and local community.
